Long Story, Short
Halina was born in Poland, and moved to Berlin in 1958. She studied at the University of Fine Arts in Berlin with Professor Dittberner and completed her formal art education in Munich at the Academy for Graphic Design.
She designed sport medallions for the state of Bavaria and worked for Volvo and Suzuki as a commercial graphic artist. She designed multiple international record covers and illustrated children's books. Halina and her husband Tim Touchton, a successful lyricist and music publisher, spend winters in StAugustine and the remainder of the year in Europe.
Since 1995 she has concentrated on painting and the art shows followed: Multiple solo showings at the Gallery in Schumann Straße, Maisons Gallery Munich, and RaumKunst in Dortmund. She was the featured artist at the Booze, Allen, Hamilton exhibition in Munich. Her European showings culminated in a successful solo exhibition in the renowned Jagd Museum next to city hall in Munich during 2007 and 2008. In 2009 she was honored as the featured solo artist in a Hurn Museum exhibition in Savannah Halina is fortunate to have a faithfull, and ever growing, group of international Modern Art collectors in Munich, Vienna, Dallas Texas, Hamburg, Zurich, Palma de Majorca and Berlin. People who love art, love Halina's subtle labyrinth of imagery pulsating with fantasy figures and faces which make her work a veritable feast for the eyes as well as an investment for the future.
